June 17th
The Southern California Water Dialogue Group will meet on Tuesday, June 17 from noon - 3 pm at Metropolitan Water District of Southern California headquarters, 700 N. Alameda, Los Angeles, (213) 217-6000. The Steering Committee will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 am on the same date and in the same place (check with desk for room number).

Lunch will be served at 11:30 am (RSVP to [email protected], if you plan on joining us for lunch).

This month the Water Dialogue meeting will turn to several front burner topics. The QSA - if Prop 50 is not going to be the source of funding, what are the other alternatives under consideration? Prop 50 negotiations - negotiations are on-going in Sacramento regarding each section. What are the issues and how could they impact Southern California? We will learn about recent recommendations by the Recycled Water Task Force and work ahead for the new Desalination Task Force. A presentation on the CALFED Environmental Justice Subcommittee will be made by the committee manager, Ken McGhee.
