July 15th
The Southern California Water Dialogue Group will meet on Tuesday, July 15th from noon - 3 pm at Metropolitan Water District of Southern California headquarters, 700 N. Alameda, Los Angeles, (213) 217-6000. The Steering Committee will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 am on the same date and in the same place (check with desk for room number).

Lunch will be served at 11:30 am (RSVP to [email protected], if you plan on joining us for lunch).

The Southern California Water Dialogue will bring together water resource leaders from throughout the Southern California region to showcase cutting edge projects at its upcoming meeting. Presentations will focus on groundwater/conjunctive use, water quality, water use efficiency, watershed management and desalination and the importance of these regional projects to achieving CALFED statewide objectives.

Paula Daniels, the Governor's public member appointment from Southern California to the new California Bay-Delta Authority, will be introduced at the meeting. The new Bay-Delta Authority is replacing the CALFED Bay-Delta Program. This meeting will be attended by stakeholders from water agencies, environmental organizations, watershed groups, and state legislative and Congressional leaders and their staff.

Southern California Water Dialogue Mission Statement: Participants in the Southern California Water Dialogue meet voluntarily to explore water-related issues of vital interest to our region. The Dialogue serves as a clearinghouse and advocate for projects, activities, and processes that will improve the quality and reliability of Southern California's water supply and benefit the CALFED Bay-Delta Program. The Dialogue also is an avenue to represent Southern California's interests to CALFED and provide information about CALFED to our region.
